**Unit 0 – Numeracy Unit**

Write and read numbers using the correct terminology.

Add and subtract whole numbers using pencil and paper methods.

Use brackets correctly in addition and subtraction calculations.

Identify the value of a digit in a decimal number.

Multiply using paper and pencil methods any two numbers.

Add and subtract amounts of money.

Add and subtract with numbers involving decimals with up to 2 decimal places.

Multiply a decimal number by a power of ten.

Divide any number by powers of 10.

Write and read decimals using the correct terminology and be aware of variations in the symbol used for the decimal ‘point’.

Multiply a decimal number by a whole number.

Multiply two decimal numbers.

Complete simple calculations using the correct order of operations.

Correctly calculate the answer to long division sums.

Short division.
